This is a group from two booklets of postcards of Saint Omer in the Pas de Calais, with the captions written in French only. The later sequence is not consecutive as there are some duplicates in the collection.
The postcards were brought back by Alfred Quinton Barton (Helen Kegie’s father) in 1918 when the War ended. He was stationed at Saint Omer during the War in the Scottish Hospital and these images show the town as he knew it at that time.
