The Helen Kegie Collection is a historical record of the Child, Sargent, Barton and Quinton families

Back

Monmouthshire

This is a mixed collection of views mostly dating from the early 20th century. Many of the views are large postcards or prints that came as a group, probably from Edmund Ballard the Chepstow photographer, whose daughter gave some photographs to Helen Kegie (Ballard’s wife Ada was a sister of Helen’s grandmother Mary Sargent/Child). The group appear to have been produced for making postcards for visitors and two others are included in the Gloucestershire section.
